About
Short version, in my own words.
I'm an entry-level backend and full-stack developer studying Information Technology at Mahendra Morang Adarsh Multiple Campus in Biratnagar, Nepal. My focus is the part of the stack where correctness matters: APIs, data models, authentication, realtime delivery and the pipelines that ship them.
Most of what I know, I learned by building and shipping. A scientific calculator with a hand-written expression engine, a real-time stock terminal with WebSocket streaming and JWT auth, an Electron downloader, a CLI that tidies your Downloads folder. Each one taught me something the tutorials did not, especially how much breaks when a real user touches your code.
I work in Git and GitHub as a first habit, write tests where the logic is worth protecting, and treat CI/CD and Docker as part of the work rather than an afterthought.

Currently pursuing. Coursework covers programming, data structures, databases, web technologies and software engineering, with hands-on work in Python, JavaScript, REST and GraphQL APIs, Firebase and containerised deployment.
Shikshadeep Secondary Boarding School
Biratnagar, Nepal
Completed secondary education with a GPA of 2.95, which is where the first programming assignments and exposure to web fundamentals began.

Completed lower secondary with a GPA of 3.90.
Skills
Grouped the way I actually reach for them. Where I have only touched something lightly, I say so rather than inflate it.
Core syntax and the languages I reach for most.
Component-driven interfaces and server-rendered React.
REST and GraphQL services, realtime and auth.
Pipelines, containers and release automation.
Branching, reviews and a clean linear history.
Projects
Every description here comes from reading the code, not from the repo blurb. Source for all of it is on GitHub.
Real-time multi-market stock terminal with WebSocket price streaming, candlestick charts and custom price alerts.
A full-stack trading dashboard covering NASDAQ, NYSE, NSE, BSE, LSE, Euronext, Tokyo and HKEX. A FastAPI backend issues JWT auth over OAuth2, caches Yahoo Finance data in memory with TTL, and broadcasts price updates over per-user WebSocket connections. The React + TypeScript frontend renders SVG candlestick charts with OHLC crosshairs, evaluates price alerts in the background and fires browser toasts.
Scientific desktop calculator with a hand-written expression engine, built on PySide6 and covered by pytest.
A cross-platform calculator where the interesting work is the math, not the chrome. I wrote the expression parser and evaluator to handle operator precedence, nested parentheses, powers, square roots, trigonometric functions, logarithms and standard constants (π, e), then covered it with an automated pytest suite to keep results accurate as the grammar grew. The PySide6 interface is split into calculator, converter and programmer pages with a custom QSS stylesheet.
Turns one prompt into a finished short-form video: visuals, AI voiceover, captions and platform metadata.
An end-to-end automated video generator. A single prompt description drives a Gemini service that produces a storyboard, orchestrates visual asset generation, synthesises audio, aligns captions and assembles the pieces into a structured reel. Includes a storyboard viewer, generation progress view, reel player and a metadata viewer for the title, description and hashtags each platform needs.
Local-only Electron desktop app for downloading YouTube video and audio, packaged as a .deb for Debian.
A desktop downloader that keeps everything on the machine. A React renderer drives an Electron main process that shells out to yt-dlp and ffmpeg, parsing their output for live progress, speed and ETA. It detects missing dependencies on launch, stores its own config and download history under ~/.config, and ships as a standard .deb package with a .desktop entry and declared dependencies.
Cross-platform CLI that watches your Downloads folder and sorts finished files into category folders.
A small, dependable utility: install once, and everything that lands in Downloads gets filed away into Images, Videos, PDFs, Documents, Archives, Code and more. Distributed as self-contained executables for Linux, macOS and Windows, where the install scripts verify the download against a published SHA-256 before running anything. The Python package is pytest-covered and built through pyproject.toml.
Website rebuild for a Melbourne cleaning and property-maintenance business.
A marketing site for a family-owned steam cleaning, strip & polish and property maintenance business. Built as a dependency-light site on Vite with vanilla ES modules, a hash-based router and a custom CSS design-token system, so the client gets something fast and maintainable without a framework runtime to carry.

Branch per change, descriptive commits, pull requests even when working solo. Most of my repos carry GitHub Actions workflows so tests and builds run on every push instead of on my memory.

Collaborating, reviewing code, or just want to talk about an expression parser? All of it is welcome.

Mithlesh Kumar Das is an entry-level backend and full-stack developer based in Biratnagar, Nepal. He builds web applications with Python, JavaScript, React, Next.js, REST and GraphQL APIs and Firebase, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Information Technology at Mahendra Morang Adarsh Multiple Campus.
His core stack is Python, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 for programming; React.js and Next.js on the frontend; and REST APIs, GraphQL and Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, FCM and Cloud Storage) on the backend, with some Node.js. For delivery he uses Git and GitHub alongside GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Fastlane, Bitrise and basic Docker.
He is based in Biratnagar, Nepal. He can be reached by email at mithleshkumardas527@gmail.com, by phone on +977 9703817024, on GitHub at github.com/livelyfun and on LinkedIn at linkedin.com/in/mithlesh-das-876973343.
Kira Calculator is a cross-platform scientific desktop calculator built with Python and PySide6. The core of the project is a hand-written expression engine that handles operator precedence, nested parentheses, powers, square roots, trigonometric functions, logarithms and the constants pi and e, with a pytest suite guarding calculation accuracy.
StockMatrix is a full-stack real-time stock tracking terminal in the Track-the-stock-market repository. It has a FastAPI backend with OAuth2 and JWT authentication, SQLAlchemy and Alembic for data, and WebSocket broadcasting for live prices, paired with a React and TypeScript frontend that draws SVG candlestick charts and evaluates custom price alerts.
He uses GitHub Actions and GitLab CI for pipelines, Fastlane and Bitrise for mobile release automation, and Docker for containerisation. His Smart File Organizer project ships cross-platform installers that verify a downloaded binary against its published SHA-256 before executing it.
